This position ensures high-quality assessments and a seamless enrollment process for patients entering virtual care. This is a remote position designed to support and scale virtual services across the organization. QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field required. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Florida Requirement: Mental Health A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Substance Use CRSS certification and above (preferred or willing/able to obtain). CAC, CAP, LMHC, LCSW or Registered Intern with active clear license or certification in good standing. Experience may substitute except where license or certification is required by licensing standards. New Hampshire Requirement: Substance Use Master’s degree (preferred) or a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Substance Use or health-related field. LCMHC, MLADC, LADC, LICSW, LMFT certification/licensure desired but not required. Mental Health Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (MLADC), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Maine Requirement: Substance Use 1. A Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), or a(n): a. Registered Nurse certified as a Psychiatric Nurse, b. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with appropriate specialization certification, c. Medical Doctor (M.D.), d. Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), e. Licensed Clinical Psychologist, f. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), g. Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or a h. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). 2. Any individual with a credential listed in Section J (1) (a-h) above may be employed as clinical staff in a substance use disorder program only when that individual has completed one (1) year clinical experience in substance abuse treatment and a minimum of sixty (60) hours of alcohol and drug education within the last five (5) years. 3. Education accepted by the Department includes, but is not limited to, training and continuing education approved by the Maine State Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors, 02-384 CMR Chapters 1-9. 4. Any of the credentials listed in Section J (1) (a-h) above may forego additional education hours and experience if they possess a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) credential. Mental Health Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) New Jersey Requirement: Substance Use Each substance abuse counselor shall be either an LCADC or CADC or another licensed health professional doing work of an alcohol and drug counseling nature within their scope of practice. I. A CADC must work under the supervision of an LCADC, or another New Jersey licensed clinical professional designated as a qualified clinical supervisor per N.J.A.C. 13:34C-6.2. ii. A CADC cannot diagnose substance abuse. 2.Substance abuse counseling staff without an LCADC or CADC status or who do not possess another New Jersey clinical professional license that includes work of an alcohol or drug counseling nature within their scope of practice shall function as alcohol and drug counselor-interns or credential-interns and shall: I. Be enrolled in a course of study leading to a CADC or LCADC, or another New Jersey clinical professional license that includes work of an alcohol and drug counseling nature within its scope of practice, without regard to changes in N.J.A.C. 10:161A-1.9 employment, with progress towards certification or licensing on file, reviewed by the facility at least semi-annually and documented; and ii. Be trained, evaluated and receive continuing formal clinical supervision by the director of substance abuse counseling or designee, pursuant to the clinical supervision rules of the State health professional licensing board for the course of study in which they are enrolled: (1) The State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners for licensed marriage and family therapists. (2) The State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners' Professional Counselor Examiners Committee for licensed professional counselors and licensed associate counselors. (3) The State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners Alcohol and Drug Counselor Committee for LCADCs and CADCs. (4) The State Board of Psychological Examiners for licensed psychologists; and (5) The State Board of Social Work Examiners for licensed clinical social workers and licensed social workers. (b) Counseling staff employed in a residential substance use disorders treatment facility after July 15, 2013, shall have three years from the date of employment to become certified as an LCADC or CADC, or another clinical licensed professional that includes the work of an alcohol and drug counseling nature within its scope of practice. (c) Only staff possessing the appropriate clinical background and educational qualifications from the appropriate clinical discipline may provide the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of clients with co-occurring disorders. Mental Health: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) (supervised), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Colorado Requirements: Substance Use: A Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) or certified as a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) with an active clear license or certification in good standing. Mental Health: A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Texas Requirements: Substance Use A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with an active and clear license. Mental Health: A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Wisconsin Requirements: Substance Use A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAC) with an active and clear license. May potentially work under a Professional Counselor Training License (LPC-IT) depending on experience or supervision requirements. Mental Health: A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Pennsylvania Requirements: Substance Use A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with an active and unrestricted license. Mental Health: A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) New Mexico Requirements: Substance Use Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (LADAC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (CADC), Certified Peer Support Workers (CPSW); Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Psychologist, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Mental Health: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Psychologist Nebraska Requirements: Substance Use: Active and unrestricted Nebraska Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) credential. Mental Health: Vermont LCMHC (Clinical Mental Health Counselor), LICSW (Clinical Social Worker), psychologist, psychiatrist, or equivalent Georgia Requirements: Substance Use: Certification such as Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) or Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CAADC), overseen by the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia (ADACBGA). Mental Health: A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). EXPERIENCE: Experience conducting biopsychosocial assessments and SUD and Mental Health assessments. Experience in IOP, PHP, outpatient, or virtual behavioral health settings preferred. KNOWLEDGE AND TRAININGREQUIRED AT TIME OF HIRE: Knowledge of the Principles and Practices of the addictions and mental health field. Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards. Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written skills. Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws. Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies. Knowledge of Workplace Violence Policies. Knowledge of addictions and mental health complications. Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence and positive cultural identity including: Referral procedures and admittance criteria for health care and community providers Ability to network and collaborate with healthcare and other social and cultural agencies that can provide services to the clients and families. Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program. Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building. Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs that includes: Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual. Impact of addiction on the family. Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists and to take appropriate action, when necessary. Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose. Knowledge of the stages of alcohol and other drug withdrawals and ability to take appropriate action at each stage. Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including Confidentiality Patient Rights Professional Code of Ethic Discrimination Knowledge of airborne and blood borne pathogens (TB, HIV, AIDS, HB) and risk reduction methodologies and the use of universal precautions. Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team. SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION Conduct comprehensive clinical intake assessments for individuals enrolling in Virtual Services. Complete biopsychosocial assessments and required documentation. Conduct Substance Use Disorder (SUD) assessments when clinically indicated. Complete initial treatment plans when indicated. Ensure accurate level-of-care determinations and clinical documentation compliance. Collaborate closely with the virtual intake team to ensure timely and seamless admissions. Maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Communicate effectively with referral sources, internal departments, and clinical teams. Contract with payors upon request, ensuring all necessary documentation and requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner. Complete additional screenings and assessments as relevant to the individual client’s care needs. Maintain NPI and CAQH profiles, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines. Protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with GRN, LLC's privacy policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. Failure to comply with GRN LLC's policies and procedures on patient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. May access protected health information (PHI) and other patent information only to the extent that it is necessary to complete your job duties. The incumbent may only share such information with those who have a need-to-know specific patient information you have in your possession to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other GRN, LLC operations. Expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding GRN, LLC's policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor. Performs other duties assigned.
