Associate Director, Product ManagementWe are looking for an Associate Director, Product Management leader, to join the Secure Tactical Communications organization within Mission Systems. The Secure Information Solutions (SIS) portfolio delivers Encryption and Secure Networking solutions, supporting major U.S. Government service branches and other forces around the globe. As a cornerstone area of the business, the portfolio provides capabilities that enable mission effectiveness by keeping data and communications secure.This position leads a team of Product Managers within the Secure Tactical Communications organization under Resilient Connectivity Products in Mission Systems. The role drives product strategy and execution across the full RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) framework, covering long-range business planning, pursuit and capture, program and delivery performance, and sustainment. The Product Manager provides leadership across the entire product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, financial commitments, and strategic growth priorities. Qualified candidates should bring strong program and product management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex portfolios, and balance technical understanding with business acumen. Success in this role requires coaching and developing teams, applying strategic insight, and enabling sound decision making in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.This is an Onsite role leading a team located in El Segundo & Fullerton, California, Largo, Florida, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and other domestic locations. The ability to lead a distributed team while being connected to the business is imperative.Preferred locations for this onsite roles are El Segundo/Fullerton, CA, Largo, FL or Cedar Rapids, IA.What You Will DoLead a team of Product/Program Managers and cross functional teams that engage with US Government customers (e.g. NSA, USAF CCSD) and related customers to deliver on our commitments throughout the product lifecycle, from shaping future requirements through proposal preparation/delivery, development program execution, transition to production, production/delivery and sustainment.Profit and loss responsibility for both internally and externally funded effortsManages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of large and/or complex programs using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools and processes.Travel requirements between 15% and 50%Provides active leadership across the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, development, coaching, performance management, and engagementAnticipates and responds to program challenges, directing resources and driving issue resolution for escalated mattersSupports contract negotiations and proposal development, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirementsProvides leadership oversight for cost, schedule, technical performance, risk management, sustainment, manufacturing, and quality across assigned product linesMaintains strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure successful executionLeads decision making for the Cross Functional Teams (CFTs), applying critical thinking and strong judgment with incomplete or evolving dataBuilds internal and external networks and fosters clear, motivating communication within the teamCommunicates with senior executive leadership on matters of strategic importanceEstablishes targets for the portfolio and leads teams to achieve financial and operational objectivesQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Security Clearance is required.
