Sunrise Hospital is the largest acute care facility and comprehensive children’s hospital in Nevada (900-bed Trauma Center). This position is clinically focused and will provide nutritional care to a variety of inpatients, including the ICU. What We Offer Paid Time Off (PTO)!Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure, and CDR renewalContinuing education supportUp to $5,000 in annual tuition reimbursement What You’ll Do This position is clinically focused and will provide nutritional care to pediatric patients and a variety of inpatients, including the ICU Strong verbal and written communication skills Maintain good time management skills, be a self-starter and work well as a team player and independently Develop strong relations with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, nursing and ancillary staff Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays Educate health care team members, including physicians and nurses Work a rotating weekend schedule as needed What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. What You Bring A Registered Dietitian and licensed or eligible to obtain in NV Have at least 2 years of prior acute care experience, ICU preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Good time management skills, be a self-starter and work well as a team player and independently The ability to work well and develop strong relations with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff The ability to work a rotating weekend schedule as needed Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
