Senior Design Manager
Loopio
What You’ll Be Doing: Oversee design production. You’ll handle all major brand and marketing design projects across the business, acting as both the designer and project manager.
Manage design resources. You’ll help us choose vendors to work with, suggest new tools or systems to try, and have a strategic eye on what we should be doing to improve our design process.
Scale brand impact using AI, without sacrificing quality. You’re comfortable using AI-assisted tools to scale your team’s impact when (and where) it makes sense, without compromising brand integrity. You'll build review and governance practices so AI-assisted work across the company stays on-brand, accurate, and clearly accountable.
Build and maintain a world-class visual identity. You’ll help guide and evolve the visual identity of our brand, and communicate these standards to the entire company so we always look our best.
Own video and motion as core brand channels. Short-form video, animated social content, and motion-driven web/product marketing assets are now everyday deliverables, not special projects. You'll build the systems and templates that let our team produce them at speed.
Mentor and teach others. You’ll manage the design function, mentoring and work alongside our web designer and freelancers, and help train other marketing team members so we can execute efficiently.
Collaborate across our organization. This role will work with our Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, Product Management, Product Design, Partnerships, and Talent teams to develop visuals for a variety of audiences, from customers and prospects to employees and more.
What You’ll Bring To The Role:
5-8 years of experience managing brand and design in-house (preferably in tech and/or a B2B company). You’ve designed it all—from web and print work, to swag and event collateral, to logos, icons, slide decks, and more. You’ve been the most senior designer on a team before, and are comfortable bringing the visual identity of a brand to life. Now, you want to be more strategic and innovative—to create something truly unique in a growing market.
Excellent project management skills. From creative brief to delivery, you know how to juggle projects and get them over the finish line with little oversight. You work fast and smart, thanks to your battle-tested design process, which helps you get everyone on the same page so you can avoid big revisions later. You’re also extremely organized, which helps you keep your priorities (and our design files) in check.
Confident communication. You know that getting the best outcomes requires you to guide stakeholders in the right direction (with tact). Your consultation skills are second to none, and you know how to handle feedback to move projects forward productively.
Creative and collaborative mindset. If you like brainstorming campaigns and bringing a unique angle to everything that you do—and have a portfolio full of work that proves it—you’ll fit right in on our passionate team.
An internal drive to learn and grow. You’re constantly upping your game, researching new styles, experimenting with tools, and expanding your skills through continuous learning opportunities outside of your space or industry.
Technical proficiency in key software and tools. You’re adept at design tools like Adobe’s Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) and/or Figma. You’re knowledgeable about print processes, accessibility standards, video/motion, and web design principles.
Bonus: a variety of design skills. These aren’t requirements, but if you have them, you should mention them to get a leg-up on the competition: photography or videography skills; animation skills; and/or illustration experience.
Where You’ll Work
We are currently only looking for candidates who reside in the Greater Toronto Area and can access our co-working space in Downtown Toronto for the occasional team get-together.
Loopio is a remote-first workplace because we recognize the advantages of working flexibly. We are HQ’d in Canada, with established hub regions around the world where we hire from.
Our employees (or Loopers, as we call ourselves!) live and work in Canada (British Columbia and Ontario), London, and India (specifically in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Bengaluru).
The majority of our team is based in ON and BC, which means these employees live and work remotely within a 300km radius of Toronto (within Ontario) and Vancouver (Within BC).
We offer flexible co-working locations available to Loopers in ON and BC. Those based in ON have the option of working out of our convenient co-working space located in the heart of Downtown Toronto and a 12-minute walk from Union Station. BC Loopers have the option to work centrally in Vancouver. It is whatever works best for you!
You’ll collaborate with your teams virtually across the UK, India, and North America (we’re just a Zoom call and Slack message away!) with core sync hours and focus time for heads-down work during the workday.
We encourage asynchronous collaboration to effectively work as a global #OneTeam!
Why You’ll ♥️ Working at Loopio
Your manager supports your development by providing ongoing feedback and regular 1-on-1s, we leverage Lattice for our 1:1s and performance conversations.
You will have the opportunity to elevate your craft and the opportunity to explore your creativity, with a dedicated professional mastery allowance for more learning support!
We’re an AI-forward company and we encourage experimentation and innovative thinking, especially when it comes to leveraging AI & Automation to drive business impact.
You’ll receive structured sales onboarding created by our Revenue Enablement team during your ramp period to ensure you are set up for success.
We offer a wide range of health and wellness benefits to support your physical and mental well-being, starting day 1️⃣ with Loopio.
We’ll set you up to work remotely with a MacBook laptop , a monthly phone and internet subsidy, and a work-from-home budget to help get your home office all set up.
You’ll be joining a supportive culture that has thoughtfully built out opportunities for connections in a remote first environment.
Participate in townhalls, AMA (Ask-Me-Anything), and quarterly celebrations to celebrate the big wins and milestones as #oneteam!
Our four active Employee Resource Groups offer opportunities for employees to learn and connect year-round.
You’ll be a part of an award-winning workplace with an opportunity to make a big impact on the business.
