Physician - Neonatology - Per Diem

About the Opportunity

Hawai'i Pacific Health is seeking a dedicated Per-Diem Neonatologist to join our team on the island of O'ahu. Providing outstanding care to newborns at two hospitals, Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, which is a teaching hospital for the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) and consultant services for the Queens Medical Center.

What You'll Do:

• Delivery room and intensive care services for newborns including ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, cardiac and pediatric surgery

• Participation in research and education through the University of Hawai'i, John A. Burns School of Medicine

• Teaching and mentoring of neonatal fellows, pediatric residents and medical students

• Direct neonatal transports

• Participate in a multi-disciplinary care team which includes neonatal nurse practitioners, neonatal hospitalists, and pediatric sub-specialists

Qualifications:

• Be board certified in Pediatrics and board certified or board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

• Be eligible for Hawai'i Medical License

• Be eligible or hold a current unrestricted Federal DEA certificate

About Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children

Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit medical center delivers an average of 6,000 babies per year and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani.
