JOB SUMMARY:

Independently maintains all IBM-compatible personal computers (“PCs”) throughout the hospital and parent corporation. Provides technical knowledge of PC operating systems and common applications. Analyzes and resolves issues relating to PC hardware and software. Configures PC's for users and related doctors’ offices. Trains and familiarizes users on the use of PC hardware and software. Works with Network Manager to coordinate PC allocation and troubleshoot PC communication problems. Manages phones throughout the organization and administers the phone system as required. Documents all procedures for use by other I.S. staff.

DEPT. SCOPE OF SERVICE:

The information services department provides support to clinical, administrative and community interests through the design, implementation, maintenance and management of an array of software, hardware and infrastructure systems. The scope of service includes support of virtualized and non-virtualized servers; wired and wireless LANS; broadband connections for Internet and vendor VPN access; over 600 computers 130 network printers. Applications running on multiple platforms are interfaced with each other and with a State HIE using HL7 standards. Service is provided to over 400 end users located in over 30 departments.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Three years experience with PC operations, configuration and problem analysis required.

Experience in application support and the structured training of users preferred.

Licensure/Certification: None.

Compensation Disclosure in Accordance with Vermont Act 155

In compliance with Vermont Act 155, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital provides the compensation range for this position in good faith. The listed range represents the pay scale reasonably expected for a successful candidate based on factors such as relevant experience, education, internal equity, and market competitiveness. Final compensation will be determined during the hiring process.
