Medical Transcriptionist

Medical TranscriptionistWe are looking for a Medical Transcriptionist to accurately transcribe pathology/medical dictations into the Laboratory Information System (LIS). The role also involves editing reports, maintaining records, and supporting the pathology team with administrative tasks.Key responsibilities include:Transcribe pathology and medical dictations into LIS.Edit and correct reports as instructed by Pathologists.Communicate urgent (STAT) or critical results when required.Obtain patient clinical history, if needed.Maintain consultation/send-out logs and related documentation.Assist with other clerical and administrative duties.Follow laboratory SOPs and quality standards.Requirements include:0–3 years of Medical Transcription experience.Knowledge of Medical Terminology.Strong data entry, typing, organizational, and communication skills.High School Diploma (HSD) or equivalent required.Physical requirements include:Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
