About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy experience License: NC or Compact license in hand Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Required charting experience in EPIC - Strong Endoscopy/GI experience for first-timers - Ability to work possibly 1 weekend and some weeknights - On-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis Description: Targeted start dates are June 1 or June 15. Interviews will be conducted via phone or video call. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some variations. The unit accommodates routine and surveillance colonoscopy, EGD, and inpatient bronchoscopy. The team supports rapid turnover in a fast-paced environment. Anesthesia support is available for the majority of cases. The department does not perform advanced procedures. The nursing staff is responsible for administering conscious sedation and monitoring patient recovery. Skills needed include starting and maintaining IVs, operating bronchoscopy equipment, and handling specimens. Patients will primarily be adults with a daily census around 28 and approximately 23 visits per day. The department features three procedure rooms, four pre-procedure rooms, and four post-procedure rooms. Interdisciplinary support is provided by various teams, including IV, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Modules are completed during onboarding and vary by specialty.
