This position offers a flexible hybrid model that combines telehealth services with in-person care throughout New Jersey. Opportunities available throughout New Jersey Providers may be asked to provide onsite services at partnering adult day care centers and community‑based locations Multiple service locations are available throughout the state On‑site schedules are typically structured as half‑day clinical sessions Telehealth services may comprise a significant portion of the provider's schedule Flexible scheduling options available Key Responsibilities Psychiatric Assessment & Diagnosis Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments Obtain psychiatric histories and perform mental status examinations Conduct risk assessments and crisis evaluations when clinically indicated Diagnose behavioral health conditions utilizing DSM‑5‑TR criteria Assess co‑occurring psychiatric, medical, and substance use concerns Medication Management & Treatment Planning Develop individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychotropic medications Order and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic studies as appropriate Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical outcomes Therapeutic Support & Patient Education Provide supportive psychotherapy and other interventions within scope of practice Deliver psychoeducation to patients and family members Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support when appropriate Collaboration & Care Coordination Collaborate closely with therapists, social workers, primary care providers, psychiatrists, and interdisciplinary team members Participate in clinical case reviews and treatment planning discussions Coordinate referrals and connect patients to community resources and support services Support continuity of care across treatment settings Documentation & Compliance Complete accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record Maintain compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations Adhere to professional, ethical, and clinical standards of practice Ideal Candidate This opportunity is an excellent fit for a provider who: Enjoys working both independently and collaboratively Values flexibility and professional autonomy Is passionate about expanding access to psychiatric care Enjoys serving diverse and underserved populations Thrives in a collaborative behavioral health environment Is committed to evidence-based and patient-centered care Wants to grow professionally alongside an expanding organization Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Qualifications Education Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program Licensure & Certification Active RN license in the State of New Jersey Active APRN license in the State of New Jersey Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Active DEA registration with prescriptive authority Experience Minimum of 2–3 years of PMHNP experience preferred Experience in outpatient behavioral health settings preferred Experience working with diverse patient populations preferred Experience providing telehealth services preferred Skills Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, culturally responsive approach to care Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities Experience utilizing EMR systems and telehealth platforms Commitment to ethical, evidence-based, patient-centered care Employment Structure & Growth Opportunities All providers begin as 1099 Independent Contractors , offering flexibility while becoming familiar with our clinical programs, workflows, and patient population.
