Morton Grove is one of the largest clinics within Illinois Bone & Joint, and offers a variety of specialities, including sports medicine rehab, pelvic health, vestibular and concussion, Schroth therapy, pediatrics, and worker's compensation/FCEs. Morton Grove is unique within IBJI due to the large clinic space, as well as having the Health Performance Institute within our building which provides another service line to patients looking for full body health and wellness. Additionally, this location offers the opportunity to participate in and oversee the return to sport program. Morton Grove is a clinic focused on clinical education, providing in-house in services monthly and hands-on mentoring, as well as placing high-value on a collaborative team approach and supportive work environment.

Job Summary

The position is under the general direction of the facility manager. The main focus of the position is on providing superior outpatient rehabilitation services through a collaborative care model with our physicians in order to optimize performance and enhance the quality of function for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Exceptional patient care.
• Interprets physician orders, performs initial evaluations and establishes treatment plans and functional goals.
• Responsible for upgrading and amending the treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care.
• Written documentation on patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines of IBJI rehab.
• Determine appropriate discharge timeline and appropriate follow up.
• Supervision of rehabilitation technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed.
• Compliance with daily paperwork. PT/PTAs/ATCs are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (initial evals, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP).
• Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practices.
• Maintains active state license by earning appropriate CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities.
• Develops positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI.
• Takes an active role in the patient medical team: office visits with physicians, contact with case managers, etc.
• Participates in programs sponsored by IBJI: mentoring, clinical educator, special interest group, community outreach.

Requirements

• Graduate from accredited physical therapy program.
• Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds.
• Demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing.
• Ability to be stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes.
• Ability to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
