Project Manager (Financial Services)Location: Remote (U.S.) OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a large-scale financial services transformation initiative focused on modernizing the digital banking experience for small business customers.This role will step into an active strategic program already in progress and take ownership of delivery, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and cross-functional execution.The ideal candidate has a strong experience leading complex financial services projects and can quickly assess project health, establish credibility, and drive successful outcomes within a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-visibility enterprise initiative with significantorganizational impact.ResponsibilitiesAssess project status, scope, risks, dependencies, and overall health upon engagement.Manage project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, and deliverables.Lead execution across business and technology workstreams.Facilitate project governance, executive reporting, and stakeholder communications.Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues.Coordinate cross-functional teams including business, technology, operations, compliance, and external partners.Support delivery within a hybrid Agile and Waterfall framework.Oversee Scrum team execution, sprint planning, and dependency management.Escalate and resolve blockers impacting project schedules and deliverables.Drive stakeholder alignment and decision-making across multiple business functions.Ensure project objectives remain aligned with strategic business goals.Required Qualifications5+ years of Project Management experience leading complex enterprise initiatives.Experience within:Financial ServicesBankingCredit UnionsFinTechPayments OrganizationsDemonstrated success taking over active projects and rapidly becoming effective.Strong expertise in:Schedule ManagementBudget ManagementScope ManagementRisk ManagementDependency ManagementStakeholder ManagementSignificant experience working in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments.Experience managing Scrum teams and Agile delivery practices.Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills.Ability to partner effectively with both business and technology teams.Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.Proven ability to drive consensus and decision-making across cross-functional groups.Top Skills for Evaluation1. Financial Services Project DeliveryBanking, fintech, payments, treasury management, cash management, or digital banking project experience.Understanding of compliance, security, operational, and regulatory considerations.2. Hybrid Agile/Waterfall LeadershipExperience leading projects that blend Agile delivery teams with traditional project governance.Strong Scrum oversight and dependency management capabilities.3. In-Flight Project Takeover & Stakeholder ManagementProven ability to inherit active projects, assess health quickly, identify gaps and risks, and maintain delivery momentum.Strong executive communication and stakeholder alignment skills.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
