Steel Stud Framer

We are seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal stud framing for commercial and/or residential projects, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. This role involves measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing light- and heavy-gauge steel studs for walls, ceilings, soffits, and other structural components. Great upward mobility for career growth Responsibilities Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and framing requirements. Measure, cut, and install steel studs, track, and framing materials according to design specs. Install blocking, backing, and bracing to support drywall and other finishes. Construct interior and exterior wall systems, ceilings, bulkheads, and soffits. Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Ensure all work complies with building codes, project specifications, and safety regulations. Collaborate with other trades and team members to maintain job site coordination. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store tools and materials. Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage, fall protection, and hazard awareness. Qualifications 1-3 years of proven experience as a steel stud framer in commercial construction. Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints. Strong understanding of framing techniques, materials, and construction practices. Proficient in the use of framing tools such as screw guns, chop saws, levels, and laser layout tools. OSHA 10/30 certification preferred. Physical stamina to lift, carry, and work on ladders or scaffolding for extended periods. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites as required. Working Conditions The work environment characteristics described here are representative of what a Steel Stud Framer will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. This position requires outdoor work, with exposure to various weather conditions. This role may occasionally require working in high, precarious places; near fumes or airborne particles; and handling toxic or caustic chemicals. There is also a risk of electrical shock and vibration in certain situations. The work environment’s noise level is usually loud. Physical Demands This position may require frequent travel by motor vehicle. The role may involve extended hours on construction sites, necessitating physical stamina to move around the premises. The ability to lift and/or move materials and tools is essential, with a minimum weight limit of 50lbs. These tasks may vary and are not required to be performed daily.
