Lead the identification, assessment and response to competitive threats and market opportunities across assigned markets and translate emerging intelligence into actionable recommendations that drive net gain growth.How You’ll Make an ImpactCompetitive Intelligence LandscapeDevelop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitive activity across assigned markets with focus on local competitive behaviorsIdentify emerging threats from fiber overbuilders, wireless providers, municipal networks and other market entrantsAnalyze competitive pricing, promotions, product launches, go-to-market strategies, product and service performance and network expansion plansUtilize external data sources and establish mechanisms to capture local intelligence before it becomes widely visible, and provide custom reporting and presentations on competitive intelligenceMarket Development LeadershipBuild local relationships through the BDS team with industry associations, local builders, developers, county administrators and model agentsEstablish a new build inventory by market area that identifies opportunities to accelerate Residential, Business and Community Solutions growth and create a consistent pipeline of growth opportunities for assigned marketsCoordinate with sales, developers, permit offices and utility companies to ensure early awareness of opportunities, proper planning and bids, proactive drop installation, joint trenching and pre-wire efforts in partnership with Field OperationsMarket Leadership PartnershipServe as a strategic advisor to RVPs and government affairs teamsBuild trusted relationships across local teams to strengthen information flow and executionWhat You’ll Bring to SpectrumRequired QualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college with major in Marketing, Management, Finance, Statistics or EconomicsExperience10+ years of leadership experience in consulting, strategy, market development, business development or competitive intelligenceExperience working directly with field operations and local market leadership teamsSkillsAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishStrong competitive analysis and strategic planning capabilities and the ability to identify trends, patterns and emerging threats from multiple data sourcesAbility to translate large amounts of information into concise and actionable executive recommendationsStrong financial and business acumen including investment prioritization analysisAbility to challenge assumptions and drive constructive debate using facts and dataDeep understanding of the broadband telecommunications and connectivity landscapeKnowledge of fiber, HFC, fixed wireless, satellite and emerging connectivity technologies and familiarity with related investments and trialsUnderstanding of Residential, Business and Community Solutions customer acquisition, retention and market share dynamicsKnowledge of new construction, multi-dwelling units, community development and network expansion strategiesExperience leading high-performing teams through change and ambiguityStrong coaching and talent development capabilitiesPreferred QualificationsEducationMBA#LI-LB1 MNB800 2026-76951 MNB800 2026 Here, our employees don’t just have jobs, they're building careers. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
