JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specia lty: Interventional Cardiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: West Burlington, IA Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Oct 01, 2026 - Dec 31, 2026 Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM ; Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Weekday Call: Rotates with other providers from 8:00 AM - 8:00 AM (24-hour call Weekend Call: Rotates with other providers from 8:00 AM Friday - 8:00 AM Monday (72-hour weekend call) PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Volume/Census: 12-15 clinic patients per day, 5-10 inpatient consults per day Rounding: 5-10 inpatient consults per day Case Mix: Diagnostic cath, angioplasty, stenting, stress echo, nuclear stress, reading echoes, holters, event monitors, TEEs, cardioversions FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Credentialing Timeline: 60 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Diagnostic catheterization Angioplasty Stenting Stress echocardiography Nuclear stress testing Reading echoes, holters, and event monitors TEEs Cardioversions JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active IA license or Universal License (IMLC) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide interventional cardiology procedures including diagnostic catheterization, angioplasty, and stenting. Perform stress echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, and interpret echoes, holters, and event monitors. Conduct TEEs and cardioversions. Round on clinic patients (12-15 per day) and provide inpatient consults (5-10 per day). Participate in 24-hour call coverage, including general cardiology call as needed.
