We are urgently hiring experienced caregivers and Direct Support Professionals!
Home of Guiding Hands is looking for compassionate and dependable people with experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Current Open Shifts
Elkhorn PM Shift | 40 Hours
- Sunday: OFF
- Monday: 1 PM9 PM
- Tuesday: 1 PM9 PM
- Wednesday: OFF
- Thursday: 1 PM9 PM
- Friday: 1 PM9 PM
- Saturday: 1 PM9 PM
Elkhorn PM Shift | 40 Hours
- Sunday: 1 PM9 PM
- Monday: 2 PM10 PM
- Tuesday: 2 PM10 PM
- Wednesday: 1 PM9 PM
- Thursday: OFF
- Friday: OFF
- Saturday: 2 PM10 PM
Bermuda PM Shift
- Sunday: 2 PM10 PM
- Monday: 2 PM10 PM
- Tuesday: 2 PM10 PM
- Wednesday: 2 PM10 PM
- Thursday: OFF
- Friday: OFF
- Saturday: 2 PM10 PM
What You'll Do
As a Direct Support Professional, you'll work directly with individuals in one of our residential homes and help them live as independently as possible.
Your day may include:
- Assisting with personal care and daily living needs
- Supporting individualized goals and routines
- Helping with community activities and appointments
- Providing positive behavioral and emotional support
- Administering and documenting medications
- Completing daily documentation
- Transporting clients using agency vehicles
- Working closely with a supportive team
Experience Required
You must have at least 12 months of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD).
You must also have:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid California driver's license
- At least 24 months of licensed driving experience
- Ability to provide hands-on care and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Patience, dependability, and a genuine desire to support others
