Role: Lead VPK Teacher The VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program) prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material aligned with stages of a child’s development. The Lead VPK Teacher is responsible for planning, assessing, and instructing 4-year-olds based on the needs of each child and the requirements of the program. As a Lead VPK Teacher, you’ll: Create! Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow teachers. Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class. Call the shots! Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation; be an expert on licensing guidelines, company standards, and VPK program requirements. Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and support the center’s success. Qualifications We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have: CDA, Associate’s degree or higher in education or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans Ability to meet state education requirements and our childcare center requirements Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children Background Screening and Compliance Florida Background Screening Notice: Employment with this school is contingent upon successful completion of Florida’s required background screening.
