Safety Coordinator

Join a growing food manufacturing company in Decatur, IL as a Safety Coordinator. In this role, you'll help maintain a safe workplace by supporting safety programs, conducting audits, leading training, and ensuring OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

Conduct safety audits and inspections
Lead safety training and emergency drills
Track safety metrics and prepare reports
Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
Support OSHA compliance and site safety programs
Develop and maintain lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
Manage fall protection plans and safety documentation
Participate in safety committee meetings
Communicate safety updates to employees and leadership

Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing or industrial safety
Knowledge of OSHA regulations
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Experience with safety audits and training
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to analyze safety data and identify trends

Work Environment

Work in a food manufacturing facility with a combination of office and production floor responsibilities. PPE is required in production areas, and you'll regularly interact with employees and leadership across the facility.
