We are seeking to add a dedicated Superintendent to our team to support our continued rapid growth. Responsibilities Keeping track of project schedule and progress Establishing and communicating daily expectations for the project Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and quality standards Purchasing equipment and materials Helping staff members understand career progression paths (Helping People Move Forward with Joy) Overseeing cost Mediating on-site conflicts Collaborating with engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to determine project needs Setting performance goals and deadlines Planning construction processes Estimating costs and ensuring the project stays on budget Supervising staff and providing constructive feedback Planning inspections and obtaining construction permits from local authorities Implementing safety and quality guidelines Tracking material stock and orders Ensuring the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly Resolving on-site issues and emergencies Ensuring all project documentation is in order (time, inspections, etc.) Qualifications Previous experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes Familiarity with CAD software Proficiency in MS Office Organizational and time‑management skills Ability to lead and inspire Coordinating with subcontractors Updating General Superintendent and PM assigned to the project Responsibility for managing day‑to‑day operations on job sites Organized and able to handle the pressures and stress associated with managing a construction project Professional Construction Experience It’s uncommon for professionals to become construction superintendents right out of school. Instead, they must accumulate on‑job experience, preferably in management roles. Necessary Training OSHA safety certificates (10‑Hour and 30‑Hour cards) Competency in areas of construction to identify compliance or deficiencies when performing construction activities Construction Skills Excavation Traffic control Fall protection Equipment operations Confined space PPE Etc. Additional Requirements Continuous leadership training Proficient software efficiencies such as MS Office, CAD, and project management platforms Scheduling platforms Structure: a blueprint of a workday to establish activities, communicate expectations, and plan the day Experience successfully managing people Consistency in communicating with the project team daily to set expectations and allow questions upfront Constant communication between all members of the project management team Creating a positive culture on the project Leadership Culture Goals Develop a culture committed to all facets of safety Create a culture where workers are not afraid to ask questions Provide a platform to teach workers and help them move forward Become a leader others want to follow Show gratitude with praise often and criticize in private; remember you may make mistakes and were given a chance to succeed #J-18808-Ljbffr CMES Inc.
