Qualifications:

• Valid credential in Special Education with eligibility to serve as an Education Specialist for SDC
• Previous experience working with middle school students (preferred)
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and collaborate with a team
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction in a Special Day Class (SDC) for middle school students with diverse needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Assess students’ progress and adjust instruction as needed
