Senior Associate Broker, Casualty Lines Insurance Location: 600 University Street Suite 2100, Seattle, Washington 98101 Salary: $85,000–$90,000 USD per year This position is in‑office. There is no commission basis or cold calling involved. Responsibilities Serve as a point of communication with the Production Team, providing coverage and program design advice. Provide brokers with knowledge about markets and products as they relate to classes of business. Assist the broker in client meetings as requested. Prepare and submit proposals to carriers for complex or hard‑to‑place accounts. Negotiate with carriers for the best program for clients. Oversee preparation of draft proposals. Oversee preparation and finalization of carrier and client coverage confirmations. Maintain strong relationships with key carriers in the strategic market. Monitor carrier performance regarding service and commission levels. Participate in travel and networking events with retailers and underwriters (lunches, dinners, concerts, sporting events, golf events, charity events, etc.). Respond to calls/requests from underwriters and retail producers concerning problems, delays, discrepancies, etc., and provide resolution so all parties are satisfied. Assist in the training of associate brokers. Qualifications 5+ years of insurance experience; evidence of E&S experience is a plus. Comprehensive knowledge of casualty insurance. Developed understanding of risk selection and coverage. Knowledge of principles and methods involved in selling services, including marketing strategies, tactics, and sales techniques.
