Restoration Team Lead Technician

Job Description

Job Description

Restoration 1 of Chicago Southland
New Lenox, IL
Restoration 1 of Chicago Southland is a family-owned restoration company looking for a working Team Lead —someone who can lead from the front, not from the sidelines.

This is not an entry-level role . We need a hands-on leader who knows mitigation work, understands standards, and can keep jobs moving while taking care of customers and the crew.

What You’ll Do

• Lead mitigation jobs (water, fire, mold, odor) from setup to dry-out

• Direct and support technicians on site

• Communicate clearly with homeowners, adjusters, and property managers

• Set and monitor equipment properly (air movers, dehus, containment, etc.)

• Ensure work is completed to IICRC standards and company expectations

• Maintain job documentation (photos, notes, moisture readings)

• Keep the truck, equipment, and job sites clean and professional

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years restoration/mitigation experience (preferred)

• Prior leadership or lead-tech experience preferred

• Strong understanding of water mitigation processes and dry-out principles

• IICRC certifications (WRT required; ASD/FSRT/MRST a plus—or willingness to earn)

• Valid driver’s license & clean driving record

• Calm under pressure, professional with customers, firm but fair with crew

• Someone who takes ownership and finishes what they start

What You Get

• Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)

• Overtime opportunities

• Paid training and certification support

• Growth path into senior leadership as the company expands

• A team that treats people like adults—not numbers

Why Restoration 1 of Chicago Southland

We’re small on purpose and growing on purpose. That means:

• You’re heard

• Your work matters

• Your leadership actually counts

If you’re tired of chaos, shortcuts, and companies that talk culture but don’t live it—this is worth your time.
