Entry-Level Security & Infrastructure Technician

Entry-Level Security & Infrastructure Technician Cayman Technologies is seeking a motivated, hands-on technician to assist with security camera systems, access control, structured cabling, and IT infrastructure projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working both behind a computer and in the field. You will work directly with our Senior Infrastructure Technician and receive hands-on training in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of commercial security and networking systems. This position is being hired as a long-term apprentice and backup to our Senior Infrastructure Technician. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop skills in commercial security systems, access control, structured cabling, networking, and physical security technologies while building a long-term career with a growing company. We are looking for someone who is dependable, eager to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in technology and physical security systems. Responsibilities Install and support security camera systems Assist with access control and door security installations Pull, terminate, test, and label network cabling Install and mount cameras, network devices, and related equipment Assist with troubleshooting structured cabling and network connectivity issues Configure and support networking hardware Perform site surveys and document installations Support client technology infrastructure as needed Travel to client locations throughout Central Ohio Preferred Qualifications Experience with basic IT troubleshooting Understanding of networking fundamentals Experience pulling cable, terminating network drops, or related low-voltage work preferred Familiarity with security cameras, access control systems, alarms, or networking equipment is a plus Ability to use ladders and work in construction or commercial environments Strong customer service and communication skills Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds Work on ladders and elevated platforms Work in warehouses, offices, construction sites, and outdoor environments Ability to bend, climb, crawl, and pull cabling when necessary Required Qualifications Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check High school diploma or equivalent What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Paid training and mentoring Company-provided tools and equipment Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid holidays One week of paid vacation after one year Education and certification reimbursement Exposure to a wide variety of technologies and environments Compensation: $20-$30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
