Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The OR R.N. is responsible for circulating preoperative care in orthopedic procedures, ensuring patient safety and proper surgical coordination. This role involves supporting the surgical team and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate preoperative activities for orthopedic surgeries.
• Monitor patient vitals and condition before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist surgical team by providing necessary supplies and support.
• Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
• Document patient information and surgical details accurately.
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients to promote smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• State RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of OR circulating experience, preferably in orthopedic surgery.
• Strong knowledge of preoperative procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
