Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Real Estate Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $40.00 to $50.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage fixed asset accounting activities by maintaining records tracking project costs and supporting capitalization processes.

• Prepare account reconciliations and financial schedules related to assets construction projects and funding activities.

• Coordinate project closeout activities and ensure accurate transfer of completed projects into operational asset records.

• Support financial reporting month end close and audit requirements by preparing documentation and analyses.

• Monitor project budgets commitments and funding activity while supporting internal and external reporting needs.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field.

• 5+ years of accounting experience with exposure to development construction or capital projects.

• Demonstrate knowledge of fixed asset accounting capitalization policies and financial reporting practices.

• Possess proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel functions.

• Maintain the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate financial activity and improve processes.

• Maintain exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling accounting records and reporting requirements.

• Communicate effectively with business partners auditors lenders and external stakeholders.

• Work collaboratively across departments while supporting project accounting and operational objectives.

• Bring experience with real estate accounting systems construction related documentation or advanced spreadsheet tools considered beneficial.
