Clinical Nurse II

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to provide high-quality nursing care in MedSurg and Telemetry settings. The ideal candidate will deliver patient-centered care, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure safety and comfort for all patients.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of practice
• Experience in MedSurg and/or Telemetry nursing
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in monitoring cardiac telemetry and recognizing arrhythmias
• Knowledge of medication administration and patient safety protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility to work PRN shifts as needed
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to document patient care accurately and timely
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
• Physical ability to perform nursing duties, including lifting and moving patients
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
• Adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach
• Ability to educate patients and families about care plans and health maintenance

Education & Experience

• Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or a Nurse Compact License (NSL)
• BSN preferred.
• Two years of recent (within the past 12 months) relevant clinical hospital nursing experience in a comparable setting (See attached Professional Self-assessment skills checklist).
• Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Preferred

Compensation

$55/hr Flat rate
