Program Facilitator

Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi is seeking a qualified Program Facilitator for the Circles Program. The Facilitator is a leader whose primary role is to work within the Circles program clients, mentors, and volunteers. The Facilitator has experience working with diverse socio-economic communities, knowledge of poverty/financial literacy education, has skills in community organizing and volunteer management, and an awareness of the social service resources in the community.*This is a part-time position.Ministerial Character:The Bishop is the visible principle and foundation of unity in the particular Church (The Diocese) entrusted to him. In a unique and visible way, he makes Christ's mission present and enduring as Shepherd of the Christian Community. In order to fulfill his mission, the Bishop employs suitable, chosen collaborators (clerics, religious, or lay people). He shares with them the apostolic mission and entrusts various responsibilities to them.Each position employed in the Diocese of Corpus Christi helps to extend the ministry of the Bishop in particular ways as outlined in the job duties and responsibilities. Therefore, the employee in this position is closely connected to and assists the Bishop in the performance of his ministry and thereby engages in ministry for the church.Key Duties and Responsibilities:The list below reflects the general details considered necessary to describe the primary functions of the job identified and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the job.As an integral part of the ministry for the Church, this position will support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic ministry and the mission of the Diocese of corpus Christi in both professional and personal lifeActs as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic churchContinuously grows in the ministry by participating in religious ceremonies, training sessions, and reflection activities as directedReports directly to the Circles of the Coastal Bend CoordinatorCollaborate to provide unique data to the regionAdvocate for the current needs of the Circle Leaders of each cohortAssist with data collection and input of data into the Circles USA data systemSupport with maintenance and completion of the Circles commitment formsRelationship management focus is within the Circles community (Leaders, Allies, and Volunteers) and dismissing participants who do not maintain commitment to the chapterMeeting with Leaders/Allies and connecting them to members of the Resource TeamsTraining oversight for the chapter:• Under the direction of the Circles of the Coastal Bend Coordinator, support the Training Facilitator for the Circles Leaders and ensure training compliance• Fill in for the in-person Circle Leader training if the Training Facilitator is unavailable• Assist the Big View Team in coordinating the monthly Big View meetingsConduct interviews and select potential Circle Leaders and Allies (focus should be largely on Leaders while the coordinator will focus more on Allies)Support the Coastal Bend Circles Coordinator with maintaining accurate registration of Circle Leaders and AlliesMental/Physical Demands:Ability to carry, pull, push, lift, or move objects 10 pounds or moreAbility to maintain composure under duress; maintain emotional control under stressMust maintain confidentialityFrequent travel within the regionQualifications:Associate degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Personal Finance Education or related field experience with individuals of diverse socio-economic backgrounds, financial literacy, lived experience with poverty currently living in middle/high economic statusKnowledge of local community resourcesStrong computer skills; including Microsoft Office, client record management systemsEffective organizational and time management skillsValid Texas State Driver’s License, vehicle insurance coverage and a good driving recordStrong communicator, both verbal and writtenAbility to understand and respect cultural differencesAbility to work independently and be self-motivated (often in the field)A flexible schedule to meet the needs of the Circles communityAdditional Requirements:Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferredMust successfully complete criminal history background check, motor vehicle record review, and drug screeningCertification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office for Safe Environment and Child & Family Resources is requiredSign and acknowledge the Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi, Inc. and Mother Teresa Shelter, Inc.
