Data Analyst - Customer Analytics

Role Description

The Granicus Experience Group (GXG) is Granicus' in-house digital agency — a cross-functional team of strategists, analysts, communicators, and technology experts focused on customer experience and digital communications for government clients. The Data Analyst, Customer Analytics serves as the subject-matter expert for customer analytics, measurement, and reporting within GXG.

• Owns the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of analytics workstreams.
• Enables government customers to understand program performance, optimize digital communications, and achieve measurable outcomes.
• Independently leads analytics workstream execution and sets analytics best practices.
• Makes specialized technical decisions and mentors junior analysts.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in a data analyst, analytics engineer, digital analyst, or reporting analyst role.
• Demonstrated ownership of analytics workstreams and measurement frameworks.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience in complex query design.
• Expert-level proficiency in at least one major BI platform (QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
• Experience communicating analytical findings to senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Marketing, Business, or a related field.

• Advanced SQL proficiency — complex query design, data modeling, performance optimization.
• Expert-level BI & data visualization — deep expertise in QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Measurement framework design — ability to define KPIs and success metrics.
• Data governance & quality ownership — ability to define and enforce data quality standards.
• ETL & data integration — strong understanding of data pipeline concepts and ETL processes.
• Digital channel analytics expertise — email, web, survey, social, CRM, and forms analytics.
• AI-assisted analytics — ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled tools responsibly.
• Communication & influence — ability to lead analytical presentations and influence strategy.
• Mentoring & coaching — ability to develop junior analyst skills through structured guidance.
• Agile methodology — advanced familiarity with Scrum/Kanban.
