Description
American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification and 2+ years of experience for a busy outpatient radiation oncology center, including TrueBeam experience.
Details
- Work in an adult outpatient radiation oncology treatment center
- Flex day shifts, 8 hours, scheduled between 5:30 AM and 10 PM
- No weekend requirement
- No on-call requirement
- May float to a sister facility approximately 11.7 miles away
- Uses TrueBeam treatment units and Varian ARIA/Vision record & verify systems
Requirements
- ARRT (T) certification required, if applicable
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Experience in a busy facility with ability to handle high patient volume
- Experience with TrueBeam required
- Skills in CT simulation, treatment site simulation, and CBCT/kV/mV imaging
- Experience providing treatment for conditions including prostate cancer, lymphomas, brain tumors, and other oncologic cases
- Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
Additional Information
- Perform external beam therapy and advanced treatment techniques including IMRT and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS)
- Provide treatment for a variety of conditions including Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, pancreatic and kidney cancer, and benign tumors
- Grey or steel scrub color required
- First-time travelers accepted if required experience is met
- Maximum of 10 RTO days per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during certain weeks
- No blocked scheduling requests allowed
- Travelers who have been employed by the health system or its affiliates must disclose prior employment details for eligibility review
- Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before rebooking
