Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Lead Assistant

Full-Time Position

We are seeking an experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Lead Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly organized, motivated dental professional who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and enjoys leading a clinical team while delivering excellent patient care.

Job Responsibilities / Duties

• Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures including extractions, implants, bone grafting, and other oral surgery procedures
• Prepare and maintain surgical operatories for procedures and ensure proper sterilization protocols
• Take and process dental radiographs and CBCT scans as needed
• Monitor and assist with patient sedation and recovery in accordance with office protocols and state regulations
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education and instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting within the practice management system
• Manage surgical instruments, equipment, and inventory for the surgical suite
• Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
• Oversee and coordinate daily clinical flow for surgical procedures
• Train, mentor, and support dental assistants and clinical staff
• Communicate effectively with the surgeon, team members, and referring offices
• Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining surgical equipment
