Senior Accounts Assistant (Financial Service Bureau) Department of Revenue DOR VISION: To establish an environment that fosters confidence and trust by successfully utilizing technology, employing resources, and meeting customer needs. How this position supports the department’s vision This position is a fast-paced accounting opportunity within the Investment and Cash Management Office that provides financial support to the Department of Revenue as well as multiple state agencies within Missouri. This position collaborates with state agencies to ensure timely and accurate approvals of cash receipts within SAMII, as well as collaboration with our contracted state bank to ensure accurate investment and financial reporting. Duties performed to support the department’s vision Complete final approval of cash receipt documents and ACH transactions for multiple State agencies in SAM II Serve as liaison for Treasure’s office and other agencies regarding approval questions Daily review of investment activity Prepare daily investment reports for the leadership team Maintain the Positive Pay system for DOR Complete monthly reconciliation of bank statements to SAMII Complete monthly investments and fees reconciliation reports Work with the contracted banks to pledge and release collateral Other duties as assigned Core competencies needed Strategic Thinking Computer Literacy Accounting Skills Self-Directed Attention to Detail Clear Communication Qualifications High School diploma or high school equivalency certificate 3-5 years’ experience in accounting, governmental accounting, or closely related work Knowledge of SAM II preferred The State of Missouri offers an excellent benefits package that includes a defined pension plan, generous amounts of leave and holiday time, and eligibility for health insurance coverage.
