CEI Senior Project Administrator/Project Engineer (Bridge & Highway)

Position Overview We are seeking a motivated CEI Project Administrator/Project Engineer for Bridge & Highway to join our team in Tampa/Wellington, Florida (in-office). This full-time position is ideal for someone with 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering or construction management, specifically in major road or bridge projects. As a Project Engineer, you will support project teams by interpreting construction drawings, performing material takeoffs, coordinating work groups, and maintaining project documentation. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are key to the successful completion of FDOT projects. The ideal candidate will be familiar with FDOT standards and procedures and have experience in work plan preparation, schedule coordination, and overall construction management. Location(s) Tampa, FL/Wellington, FL Key Responsibilities Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite Perform material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other contract documents Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations Assist engineers to gather and prepare data for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use Assist in the maintenance of basic project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, requests for information (RFIs), and memorandums Enter data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite management Assist in generating change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project Manager Assist in reviewing and analyzing historical data relative to the project, incorporating various productions and costs appropriate in preparation of a bid Complete material and quantity takeoffs according to bid documents Perform other duties as needed Education and Certifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or Construction Management Must have a valid Driver’s License Experience 3-5 years of related professional experience in major road or bridge projects, preferably FDOT projects Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Technical Skills Knowledge of FDOT standards, requirements, and procedures Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel Key Competencies Strong organizational and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments Interpersonal Skills Ability to communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others, individually or in a team environment #J-18808-Ljbffr GM2 India Innovation Center
