Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in labor, preterm labor, triage, pre-op, and post-op settings across 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
• Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and support GYN surgeries and couplet care
• Administer blood and blood products, and manage specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vacs
• Safely administer high-alert medications including heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
• Perform or assist with cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket therapy, and drain management
• Float to Post-Partum or NICU as needed based on skill set, maintaining a staffing ratio of 1:1–3

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Current BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must not be a first-time traveler
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with low-risk antepartum care and transition nursery
• Familiarity with high-risk OB patient populations and associated procedures
