Job Summary
Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills to external and internal guests by displaying Spotlight on Success behaviors. Maintains upbeat, positive attitude, friendly and helpful demeanor, positive energy and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next. Utilizes smiles and frequent eye contact and friendly tone of voice to project warmth and friendliness. Creates an atmosphere of luck and celebrates customer wins. Is ready to serve and well informed of daily facility hours of operation, promotional programs and any other relevant valuable guest information; builds relationships by greeting guests with a warm, friendly verbal greeting. Anticipates needs of the guest and provides fast, flawless service. Executes all service programs to assure prioritization of service to very best guests. Checks for satisfaction and properly uses the Service Recovery process to resolve problems when they exist. Promotes Total Rewards programs and Total Rewards registration and membership. Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting. Promotes Harrah's and always projects Harrah's in a positive light to guests.
How You Will Create the Extraordinary
- Immediately greets and seats guests with a smile and initiates the execution of the "great service experience".
- Responsible for seating and rotating lines while recognizing and developing rapport with our Seven Stars, Diamond and Platinum guests.
- Performs "satisfaction checks" when not seating guests.
- Oversees duties performed by the Bus Persons to ensure fast and efficient turnaround of tables.
- Entertains guests and creates a fun-filled environment by circulating throughout public areas of the facility as assigned.
- Maintains knowledge of all menu items and other pertinent information regarding the outlet. Promotes Harrah's and acts in a professional and courteous manner.
- Exhibits a positive, outgoing personality.
- Performs "station" and "side work" checks, voids checks as directed by policy and assists with administrative duties as assigned
What You Will Need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Entertainment background or restaurant experience a plus.
- Outstanding public relations skills and outgoing personality.
- Knowledge of MICROS system preferred.
- Able to change schedule with short notice.
- Is able to work in smoke filled environment, and is able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
