Overview TRC is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated GIS Analyst I to provide technical support for clients, and fellow TRC staff. The GIS Analyst I must have a minimum of 2 year(s) of experience applying GIS technology to answer questions and solve problems. The GIS Analyst I should demonstrate proficiency and experience using GIS software including but not limited to ESRI's ArcGIS Pro and web-based GIS platforms using ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online. The GIS Analyst I will report to the Portland, Maine office. We offer a flexible work schedule. Responsibilities The successful candidate must: Have excellent communication and organizational skills to work as a member of a larger GIS team to complete project tasks. Collaborate with project managers and GIS staff to ensure that quality and timely GIS support is provided on all projects. Be self-motivated and able to work independently with supervision from a GIS Manager. Job Tasks Include: General geographic data creation, editing, and analysis Production of figures for a variety of environmental reports Desktop analysis of environmental constraints data such as soils, hydrologic features, land cover, public lands, etc. for planning field surveys or agency application submittals Query geographic data for information to be used in reports/proposals Work interactively with data from CAD platforms and other geospatial data sources Collaborate with other TRC staff to improve project methodologies and deliverables Qualifications *Candidates should provide a cover letter with their application and be prepared to present a portfolio or examples of past project work* Required Experience and Education: Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, or other related discipline. A minimum of 2-year(s) GIS or related work experience. Required GIS Competencies: Data Entry/Conversion: Able to convert data from multiple sources and formats (CAD, GIS, GPS, image, text, etc.) to a common format or common schema. Able to enter and edit data successfully with minimal errors. Cartography and Graphic Design: Able to express graphically, usually through maps, the features within a GIS. Basic GIS Analysis: Able to utilize GIS applications to examine the locations, attributes, and relationships of features in spatial data through overlay and other analytical techniques to address a question or gain useful knowledge. Geodatabase Development & Design / Data Models: Able to utilize GIS applications to build a GIS, i.e. data mining, geodatabase design, data conversion, etc. Able to define data requirements needed to support business processes. Desired GIS Competencies: GPS Device/Applications: Able to configure and troubleshoot various GPS devices and mobile data collection applications. Application of GIS/Problem Solving: Able to translate client needs to solutions using GIS technology. Able to identify the best tool for the job based on experience and knowledge of what is possible. Web Applications/Services: Able to create map services and interactive web applications. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company\'s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
