We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented team.Location: Washington, DC.General Responsibilities:Contractor personnel shall be responsible for complying with the following general requirements:Work 40 hours per week. The normal work hours are 9 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a half hour for lunch.Work effectively and collaboratively with Web Systems colleagues on assigned projects and activities.Follow the Web Systems Agile SCRUM Methodology, other frameworks, governance processes, and best practices.Maintain professional relationships with customers, management, colleagues and deliver high-quality customer service.Supporting the Product team in testing sites, systems, and applications before client rollout.Evaluate and recommend various testing tools appropriate for the various technologies used in to define and generate automated, repeatable testing scripts.Assess quality of new features or new systems against Customer Experience, User Experience, and Accessibility.Document test results to support the efficient resolution of problems and to capture defect data.Define repeatable testing strategies and documentation for concurrent and future testers; define automated testing strategies as possible.Execute tests to compare results with requirements, to identify defects, and to ensure compliance (e.g., systems, functionality, etc.)Recreate identified defects to assist in the resolution process.Participate in defect management discussions with the Project Owners, Designers, and Developers to ensure defects are fixed in a timely manner and adequately tracked.Produce and communicate test result reports for Change Management process, and for a range of potential audiences (Managers, Developers, Product Owners, or Executives)Conduct rapid smoke tests as part of an Agile development environment.Specific Responsibilities:Contractor personnel shall be responsible for performing the following specific tasks:Performing manual and automated testing on Drupal 10.x and 11.x environments.Ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsive design adherence.Validating content accuracy and functionality across different user roles.Conducting regression testing after updates, patches, and deployments.Ensuring compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1 Level AA, Section 508).Assessing and analyzing areas of concern for accessibility non-compliance and resolving specific accessibility defects.Collaborating with developers, designers, and stakeholders for issue resolution.Creating and maintaining detailed test plans and test cases tailored for complex Drupal sites.Enhancing QA processes through recommendations and best practices.Supporting migration testing from Drupal 10 to 11 to ensure data integrity and functional parity post-migration.Testing complex workflows, integrations, and third-party modules to ensure stability and compliance with functional requirements.Participate in requirements, design/development reviews, and product planning sessions to proactively validate usability and testability.Testing complex Drupal workflows and permissions.Validating module interactions and dependencies.Testing content types and taxonomies.Verifying media handling and file management.Testing search functionality and content indexing.Validating form submissions and data processing.Conducting thorough regression testing after updates and deployments.Testing content migration processes between Drupal versions.Validating theme implementations and responsive design.Testing multi-site configurations and shared functionality.Ensuring familiarity with Drupal features, modules, and overall site structure to effectively test functionality and integrations.Create and maintain detailed test plans and test cases tailored for complex Drupal sites, ensuring appropriate format and level of detail.Other project management and contract-related functions as needed.Minimum Qualifications:2 years of experience in QA testing of applications, web sites, and web applicationsExperience with test plan creation, test case reviews, test execution, defect resolution and root cause analysisExcellent communication skills required to document and report on defects and other software issuesMust have strong diagnostic skills to properly test software and measure the quality of the productFor web application testing, programming knowledge with various technologies desiredPossess a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or related field or the equivalent in education and work experienceSpecific Qualifications:Preference will be given to proposed Contractor personnel possessing the following skills and expertise:Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline, or equivalent related experience10 years in field of Information Technology and software Quality Assurance with a minimum of 4 years of experience testing Drupal-based websitesExpertise in functional, regression, usability, and performance testing methodologies. Strong understanding of accessibility (Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2) complianceRequirements:Proficiency with testing tools, including browser developer tools and automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium WebDriver 4.x).Knowledge of accessibility testing guidelines and relevant tools, including screen reader software (JAWS, NVDA, Talkback, Voiceover) and other relevant accessibility testing tools.Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as ClickUp or Jira.Ability to develop skills and quickly adapt to new technologies and prioritiesFamiliarity with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and accessibility features.Experience testing complex integrations, third-party APIs, and custom Drupal modulesFamiliarity with Drupal features, modules, and site structure to effectively perform targeted testingDemonstrated expertise in Drupal content management testing, including experience with content types, taxonomies, and workflowsExperience with Drupal module and theme testing, including understanding module dependencies and theme inheritanceAmpcus is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
