Site Supervisor – Lead Field Operations and Subcontractor Success Job Overview: Company: Pillar Construction Company LLC. Salary/Pay Rate: $75,000 - $110,000 per year (Salary + Commission). Location: Onsite (Sylvan Lake, MI). Job/Employment Type: Full-Time. Schedule: Monday - Friday. Project Scope: Commercial Construction, Real Estate Development, and Tenant Improvement. Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required. The Opportunity: You will serve as the primary onsite leader, ensuring every project phase is executed with precision and professionalism. How You Will Make an Impact: Orchestrate daily site activities to maintain strict adherence to project timelines and milestones. Cultivate productive, professional relationships with subcontractors and municipal inspectors to ensure seamless project flow. Interpret architectural and structural plans with high accuracy to guide field execution and prevent costly errors. Execute hands-on completion of punch list items to guarantee a flawless final product for the client. Document project progress through detailed daily reports to maintain clear communication with the operations team. Resolve onsite logistical challenges and technical obstacles immediately to keep the field team moving forward. Required Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in onsite construction supervision or field leadership. Proven ability to manage and motivate subcontractors while maintaining high quality standards. Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and technical specifications. Demonstrated experience in managing project schedules and meeting critical deadlines. Technical aptitude to personally handle minor repairs and finish work as needed to close out projects. Preferred Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience in a "ground-up" or commercial tenant improvement environment. Strong track record of successful interactions with local building inspectors and regulatory officials. Experience working within a small, fast-paced family business environment.
