Tax Consultant

We are partnering with a growing local business seeking an experienced Tax Preparer for a ~90-day contract engagement with potential for long‑term hire. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and the opportunity to support a dynamic team during a critical period of growth. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review individual and S-Corporation tax returns accurately and efficiently Gather, organize, and analyze financial documents and tax-related information from clients Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations Research tax issues and apply current tax laws to client situations Communicate with clients regarding documentation needs, return status, and tax-related questions Identify potential deductions, credits, and tax‑saving opportunities Maintain organized records and documentation for all prepared returns Collaborate with internal team members to meet deadlines during peak tax periods Qualifications Prior experience preparing individual and S‑Corp tax returns required Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office/Excel High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines Excellent communication and client service skills Schedule / Compensation Hybrid work schedule available Competitive hourly/contract compensation Opportunity for permanent hire following successful completion of contract engagement #J-18808-Ljbffr
