Medical Assistant Opportunity At Mountain View Hospital

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team! This role involves assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. You will be responsible for appointment scheduling, care, and chart management, providing information to patients to help them utilize clinic services, and conveying a positive image of the clinic. You will also collect, process routine testing, and return results to the doctor. Your duties will include obtaining and processing doctor's orders, data entry, providing good customer service on the phone and in person, working well under pressure, and performing CLIA waived moderate testing.

Duties and responsibilities include fulfilling patient care responsibilities, proficiency in collecting blood samples and other body fluids, following hospital policies for transporting samples, ensuring quality clinical care, following standard precautions, clerical responsibilities, facility responsibilities, performing special tests, maintaining point of care documents, showing good customer service, performing miscellaneous tasks, staying current on CCM changes, acting as a liaison between providers and patients, following up on referrals, and other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent GED. Current BLS Certification. Valid driver's license.

Experience: CMA course preferred but not required. Phlebotomy course and phlebotomy experience.

Equipment/Technology: Experience with computers and office equipment required.

Language/Communication: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Bilingual is a plus. Must understand medical terminology.

Mathematical Skills: General math skills.
