Trailer Manufacturing Technician

The Trailer Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing multiple tasks using a variety of hand‑held tools and equipment to install and assemble Sidump'r trailers. This role requires the ability to read and interpret technical documentation, work effectively in a team setting, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in a manufacturing environment. Duties/Responsibilities Operate various hand‑held, pneumatic, and electric power tools and other machinery. Read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, and bill of material lists. Work with various building materials. Supply work areas with materials using an overhead crane, forklift, hand/powered carts, or by carrying items manually. Maintain a clean and orderly work area and ensure equipment is properly cared for. Observe all safety and security procedures and demonstrate a commitment to a safety and quality culture. Perform assigned tasks to meet or exceed established labor standards. Proactively identify potential cost savings and minimize scrap and waste. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge and use of basic hand tools, including electrical and pneumatic tools. Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Understanding of manufacturing processes, basic electrical functions, and the ability to learn trailer air and hydraulic systems. Ability to work 4 10‑hour shifts with the potential for overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. Physical Requirements Frequent sitting, walking, talking, or hearing. Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reaching with hands and arms. Occasional climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and potentially up to 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques and equipment. Work is performed in a manufacturing setting, occasionally in outside weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, humid conditions, ambient air, hot and cold temperatures, fumes or airborne particles, traffic, and chemicals.
