Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient acute care physical therapy evaluations with an expectation of one completed evaluation per hour
• Provide daily treatments as needed, with an expectation of 10 completed treatments per 8-hour shift
• Work across a variety of acute care patient populations including Level III trauma, telemetry, orthopedics, surgical, critical care, neurology, oncology, and general medical — primarily adults and older teens
• Provide coverage at primary acute care hospital location with occasional minimal coverage at a secondary acute care site
• Participate in weekend rotations, including 2 full weekends per month with compensatory days during the week
• Precept staff as needed by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) licensure
• Experience with inpatient acute care physical therapy
• Ability to meet productivity expectations for evaluations and daily treatments
• Willingness to work weekends and alternate holidays as required
• Ability to complete a 3–5 day facility orientation covering hospital procedures, protocols, and EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Experience working in a Level III trauma center or similar high-acuity acute care environment
• Comfort working alongside PTAs and rehabilitation aides in a team-based care model
