Responsibilities Run the Show – Oversee all day‑to‑day operations, from leasing and resident relations to work orders and vendor coordination. Lead the Team – Hire, train, schedule, and support your on‑site leasing and maintenance teams – creating a positive culture where great work happens. Market Like a Pro – Work with your team and marketing partners to promote your property, attract new residents, and renew existing leases. Drive Financial Performance – Manage budgets, control expenses, maximize revenue, and ensure rent collection stays on track. Be Resident‑Focused – Serve as the go‑to contact for your community, resolving concerns, welcoming new residents, and creating a place people are proud to call home. Keep It Looking Great – Conduct regular property inspections, support unit readiness, and oversee maintenance standards and capital improvements. Stay on Top of It All – Submit accurate financial reports, manage payroll/commissions, and stay compliant with all local, state, and federal requirements. Qualifications (What We’re Looking For) Experienced Leader – At least 4 years of multifamily property management experience and 2+ years leading a team. Detail‑Obsessed & Organized – Stay on top of deadlines, follow through on commitments, and know how to prioritize. Clear Communicator – Keep resident concerns, staff meetings, or budget presentations clear, calm, and professional. Customer‑Focused – Ensure residents feel heard, valued, and supported. Financially Savvy – Understand the business side: rent rolls, budgets, reporting, and expense management. Tech‑Comfortable – Confident using property management systems (e.g., Entrata), Microsoft Office, and other digital tools. Positive & Proactive – Lead by example, stay cool under pressure, and bring solutions, not drama. Core Skills & Abilities Treat all current and future residents with the highest level of concern and care. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to fulfill all essential duties. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, free of typos or grammatical mistakes. Communicate effectively with residents, vendors, staff, management, and others. Treat everyone with respect and dignity, accept responsibility, take ownership of tasks, and maintain confidentiality. Show strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with proven time‑management. Be a team player with excellent leadership, supervisory, analytical, and reasoning skills. Have a natural disposition for sales and understanding of sales techniques and processes. Function well in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education & Experience Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience managing large multifamily real‑estate properties. A minimum of 4 years of residential property management experience with a proven track record in leasing or sales. Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising two or more employees. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office usage in an office environment. Familiarity with general business and accounting concepts; ability to read, understand, and develop financial statements; high‑school graduate‑level mathematical proficiency. Valid driver’s license to operate company‑owned vehicles or personal vehicle for work. Physical Requirements Expected work hours: Must work on the busiest days of the week, including Fridays and Saturdays weekly (and at least one Sunday a month) and on Holidays, during peak business hours, including at least one closing shift weekly. Travel: Occasionally may need to drive a company or personal vehicle for business. Work environment and physical demands: General office environment, ability to lift or move items up to 10 pounds. Ability to move around the property to perform assigned tasks, including sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, climbing stairs, and performing functions in various weather conditions.
