Position Overview

CRT candidates will NOT be considered for this assignment.

Schedule

• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• 36 hours guaranteed
• Holidays required if scheduled/needed
• No on-call requirement
• Schedule accommodations will not be considered

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to pediatric through geriatric patients.
• Independently manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
• Operate ventilators and various PAP modalities.
• Provide high-flow oxygen therapy.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws.
• Provide airway management and assist with intubations.
• Perform pulmonary function testing (PFTs); experience preferred.
• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment.
• Work independently in various patient-care areas and respond appropriately to clinical situations.
• Learn and perform additional services such as home sleep testing and pulmonary rehabilitation

Requirements

• 2+ years of current Registered Respiratory Therapy experience – Required
• Active RRT credential through NBRC – Required
• Vermont RRT license – Required
• Active AHA BLS – Required
• Ability to independently manage:
  • Ventilators
  • Various PAP modalities
  • High-flow oxygen
  • ABG draws
  • Airway management
  • Intubation assistance
• PFT experience preferred but negotiable.
• Cerner experience – Required
• Willingness to learn home sleep testing and pulmonary rehabilitation – Required
• At least 6 months of previous travel experience highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license/own vehicle required.
