Human Resources Generalist

This role will serve as a primary resource for employees and managers and will work closely with leadership on benefits, compliance, safety, employee relations, and other HR initiatives. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning the daily details while also being interested in learning and supporting the broader HR function.What You'll Do* Process payroll accurately and on time, including timecard review, employee changes, deductions, garnishments, taxes, and payroll reporting.* Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, PTO, leave, policies, and other routine HR matters.* Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding.* Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HRIS/payroll system information.* Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, COBRA, and employee questions.* Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, background checks, and offers.* Assist managers with routine employee relations and performance matters.* Coordinate FMLA, disability, workers' compensation, and other leave processes.* Maintain OSHA, safety, training, and incident documentation.* Assist with workers' compensation claims and workplace accident investigations.* Handle unemployment claims and employment verification requests.* Support employee communications, engagement activities, recognition, and company events.* Prepare HR and payroll reports and assist with compliance reporting.* Support the development and communication of HR policies and procedures.* Assist with annual performance review and compensation processes.* Perform other HR and payroll responsibilities as needed.You'll Also Work With Leadership On* Health insurance renewals and benefit plan decisions* Compensation and salary benchmarking* Workers' compensation and insurance renewals* OSHA compliance and workplace safety* Employee investigations and more complex employee relations matters* Employment law and regulatory compliance* Handbook and policy updates* HR vendor and broker relationships* HRIS and payroll process improvements* Workforce planning and other HR initiativesLeadership will retain responsibility for overall HR strategy and higher-level decisions, while the HR Generalist will help coordinate, administer, document, and implement those initiatives.What We're Looking For* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.* 3+ years of HR experience preferred.* Hands-on payroll processing experience strongly preferred.* Experience with Paycom or a similar HRIS/payroll system is a plus.* Experience with benefits administration, recruiting, employee relations, HRIS/payroll systems, and leave administration.* Working knowledge of employment laws, payroll practices, and HR best practices.* Experience with OSHA, workers' compensation, or workplace safety is a plus.* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.* Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and work independently.* A willingness to learn, ask questions, and take on increasing responsibility.Who Will Be Successful in This Role?This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day operation of HR, follows through on details, communicates well with employees, and makes sure payroll and HR processes stay on track.It also offers the opportunity to gain broader experience by working closely with leadership on benefits, compliance, safety, compensation, employee relations, and other higher-level HR initiatives. #J-18808-Ljbffr RESET GROUP LLC
