Job Description About the Role Location: Fully remote within the continental United States. Solutions Product Manager,Governmentsupportsthe development and growth ofNearmap’sproduct solutions across Governmentuse cases. This roleassistsin understanding customer needs, researching market opportunities,monitoringcompetitors, and helping define product requirements that create value for customers and align with company strategy. Working closely with senior product leaders, the Solutions Product Manager contributes to new solution development and the optimization of existing offerings. They partner withsales,engineering,andmarketing to ensure product initiatives are well-defined, deliver measurable customer impact, and supportNearmap’sgrowthobjectives. This role emphasizes hands-on execution - gathering insights, writing clear requirements, managing delivery priorities, and tracking performance,while building domainexpertisein geospatial technology and location intelligence. Key Responsibilities Play the essential role ofProduct Owner forthe delivery stream: Assistsenior product managers in defining product requirements and priorities for Governmentsolutions. Translate customer and business needs into clear, actionable userrequirementsand acceptance criteria fortechnical delivery teams. Monitorexisting product metrics and provide insights to the greater product org. Analyzecalls and other signals to provide insight to the greater org. Participate in backlog grooming,priority refinement, andrequirements alignment with the technical delivery team. Be thedomain expert, providing support andeducatingstakeholders: Develop andmaintaindeep domainexpertiseacross diverseuse casesin government, with comprehensive knowledge of customer workflows, use cases, and industry-specific challenges. Bring authoritative understanding of critical application areas such as property assessment and management, land development, public safety, portfolio/asset management,and disaster responsewhile rapidly buildingexpertisein emergingnewneeds. Build andmaintainhighly effective relationships: Regularly converse with Sales, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to gather customer pain points and opportunities, and impediments to selling/upselling. Regularly converse with customers to understand howNearmapproducts are used and perceived, and opportunities to solve addition customer problems and upsell. Communicate findings back toNearmapstakeholders in a form that drives action and improvement. Regularly converse with ecosystem partners, including technology platform providers, channel partners, analysts, media to boostNearmap’sprofile and presence. Listen to sales and customer success calls on recording tools to gain understanding of customer concerns and needs. Compliance withNearmapvalues,policiesand standards, and ensurecompliance with all local statutory requirements: Complies withresponsibilities of working for a public company. Complies withall local legislative requirements. Adheres to company guidelines and the corporate Code of Conduct. Whereappropriate keepsup to date with legislative requirements. Acts in an ethical way when dealing with company assets and other people. Qualifications Experience 5-10+years of experiencein government or, ideally, a government geospatial office withexperience in a project or product leadership role Experience with geospatial data and how it is used in government is extremely valuable. Experience in government procurement andthe relationships between local,stateand federal entities isvaluable. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Skills Ability to effectivelywrite,validate, and quantify a business casein plain language quickly andthoroughly. Geospatial technology, remote sensing, BIM, including familiarity with Esri, Autodesk, Bentley products. Ability to write clear,andconciseproduct requirements. Proventrack recordof getting things done, managing multiple tasks including communication with internal and external teams whilst consistently delivering on schedule. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively within a cross-functional environment. Ability to derive insights from diverse data sets. Personal Attributes Excellent written,verbaland visual communication skills. Strong commercial acumen, strategicthinkerand revenue driven. Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across all engineering disciplines.
