Director, Nonclinical Toxicology Operations

Nurix Therapeutics seeks a Director of Nonclinical Toxicology Operations to oversee preclinical safety and toxicology activities and manage the transition of targeted protein degradation programs through IND filing. The role combines operational support for study execution with cross-functional program-level project management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with toxicology leads to scope, design, and schedule GLP and non-GLP safety studies across multiple modalities
• Identify, qualify, and manage CROs; coordinate bid solicitation and vendor selection
• Own contract lifecycle including work orders, MSAs, change orders, and invoice reconciliation
• Build integrated study timelines and monitor milestone delivery, escalating delays proactively
• Serve as project manager for programs from late lead optimization through IND filing

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage complex timelines, budgets, and stakeholder coordination
• Scientific fluency in nonclinical toxicology and drug development processes
• Experience managing CROs and specialty vendors, including contract negotiation and administration
• Proven ability to track study milestones, coordinate protocol reviews, and ensure regulatory compliance
• Project management expertise integrating multiple functional areas (chemistry, DMPK, pharmacology, safety, CMC, regulatory)
• Demonstrated ability to communicate safety issues with appropriate escalation and urgency
