Cardiology - Advanced Heart Failure Opportunity

Join a staff including 5 general cardiologists, 3 electrophysiologists, 6 interventional cardiologists, 1 advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist, and 4 cardiothoracic surgeons. 3 Heart Failure NPs and 2 RN Heart Failure Navigators. On-call is split evenly among the general cardiologists. HF specialist may start taking calls for cardiogenic shock. Inpatient heart failure service is a consulting team only, covering complex heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. Robust cardiac imaging program with Cardiac CT, MRI, and nuclear imaging. Second-line heart failure therapy programs include CardioMEMS, Barostim, and Cardiac Contractility Modulation therapy. Pulmonary hypertension and cardio-oncology programs. Niche cardiomyopathy programs such as hereditary cardiomyopathy clinic (supported by a dedicated geneticist), sarcoidosis, amyloidosis, and HCM. Active multidisciplinary cardiogenic shock program with a dedicated shock coordinator. On path to becoming a full-fledged ECMO program with expressed leadership commitment. LVAD shared-care site with desire to become an implanting site if the heart failure team is complete. Patient catchment area of over 1 million. Leadership opportunity to grow one or more areas.
