Boiling Spring Lakes, NC. Pop. 6,885. Located in Southeastern North Carolina near the coastal communities of Southport and Oak Island, the Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department is seeking candidates for the position of police officer. Minimum requirements include High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid North Carolina Driver's License, and North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification (BLET). Candidates must successfully complete a background investigation, medical examination (including drug screen), and psychological evaluation. The annual salary range for this position is $50,065 – $65,751 with 5% increase upon successful completion of FTO and probation.

The City of Boiling Spring Lakes will provide health insurance for you in accordance with the established policy that is currently 100% premium coverage for an individual plan, with the ability to add dependents onto the plan at your expense.
Upon your first day of employment you will be granted ten (10) vacation days up front. Additional benefits include paid sick leave, vacation leave, and holidays as detailed in the City's Personnel Manual. In addition, the City of Boiling Spring Lakes will provide the standard retirement benefits afforded other City employees with the North Carolina Local Government Retirement System, including the 401k plan into which the City will contribute 5% of your gross salary.
