Veterinary ReceptionistDorset Street Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Front-Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our veterinary clients, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. Our hospital is open 8am–8pm, seven days a week. This position includes a mix of weekday and weekend shifts, with some evening shifts required.Key responsibilities include:Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.Ensure accurate service and product sales accounting, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments.Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests. Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.Qualifications:Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or medical office assistant preferredStrong organizational and multitasking skillsAbility to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanorAbout Dorset Street Animal HospitalDorset Street Animal Hospital is a brand new Urgent Care Veterinary practice in South Burlington, Vermont, dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for dogs and cats across the greater Burlington area.
