Operations CoordinatorThe Operations Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Culver Eagle Outfitters across multiple retail locations and online channels. This position assists with sales performance, operational execution, and retail clerk oversight while providing leadership for part-time and seasonal employees. The role also supports retail systems functionality and is responsible for the setup and operational execution of seasonal store locations (Culver Museum & Gift Shop and Woodcraft Eagle Outpost).Operational & SupervisoryAssist in overseeing day-to-day operations across all store locations and online channelsSupervise and coordinate seasonal and part-time employees, including scheduling and daily oversightSupport opening and closing responsibilitiesProvide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholdersTrain and supervise staffSales & Business OperationsMonitor sales trends and seasonal demand to support inventory planning and operational decisionsIdentify slow-moving products and recommend markdown or promotional strategiesAssist with ordering weekly and high-turnover merchandise (e.g., food, beverages, personal care items)Prepare month-end reporting for Retail Manager and provide recommendations for operational improvementsAnalyze customer purchasing behavior to support targeted promotionsEvaluate pricing strategies in collaboration with Retail ManagerSystems & Technical CoordinationMonitor and troubleshoot point-of-sale (POS) and e-commerce system issuesCoordinate with Technical Services and vendors to resolve system-related concernsSupport system accuracy, functionality, and day-to-day usability across store operationsSeasonal & Multi-Location OperationsLead the setup, merchandising, and operational readiness of seasonal retail locations, including inventory transfer and coordination of product flowSupport execution of retail operations across multiple locations and special eventsCompliance & Process SupportEnsure compliance with safety, loss-prevention, and inventory control practicesAssist with implementing and developing policies and proceduresAssist with preparation for cycle counts and physical inventoriesMaintain store standards, organization, and cleanlinessOther DutiesPerform cash register duties as required.May be asked to work other campus store locations and events.Occasional evenings and weekends required based on operational needs.Requirements: A bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing or equivalent experience is required. It is preferred that candidates have experience in retail analytics, inventory management, or business intelligence. Experience using Shopify is desired. Must have excellent administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and highly developed computer skills. An aptitude for numbers, safe cash handling procedures, and a demonstrated ability to build relationships using vital customer service and communication skills are essential to success in this position.
