Job Details Employment Status: Full time Shift: Weekends Only (United States of America) Facility: 1906 Belleview Ave SE - Roanoke Requisition Number: R150638 Position: Registered Sonographer – Ultrasound (evening/night) – weekends (Open) Responsibilities Perform a variety of technical imaging procedures and provide quality care to patients. Assess patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines. Operate highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System). Train students and staff as assigned. Create a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families. Assess data reflective of patient status and interpret information needed to identify each patient’s specific needs, providing care per applicable policy and procedures. Interact with patients, families, visitors, and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate, and manage the plan of care. Qualifications Education: High school graduate or equivalent; graduate of an approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training. Licensure, certification, and registration: ARRT registry/ARDMS in OB/Gyn, Abd, or Neurosonography. CPR certification required. Experience preferred but not required.
